ACID WOOD CASE TOUCH D-5

Set of 5 water touch with wooden case, jars and touchstone. By using this set it is possible to quickly and safely determine the caratage of the part to be analyzed.
The results can be seen visually, after the analytical process has been carried out correctly. We recommend the use of gloves and protective glasses, as well as the use of this product in a ventilated place.
TOUCH OF THE GOLD:
For precise results we must perform a test by means of a contrasting testimony with the touch star (ref. TOQ0D0900), indispensable element to carry out this comparative analysis.
We will draw a line with the touch star, and we will make a line parallel to the first line with the piece to be analyzed. Next, we will draw a third stroke with the water of touch that will cross the two previously realized lines.
We will wait for a short period of time to allow the action of the waters on the metal strokes. The presentation of the bottles in different colours makes it easy to identify them.
We must note the stroke made with our piece: if it disappears, we must repeat the test with a lower carat of the touch star and the corresponding tap water. If, on the contrary, the stroke is maintained, we can determine that its carat corresponds to the water used and to the testimony of the touch star.
TOUCH OF THE SILVER:
The acid touch on the Silver should form a milky red precipitate. On other metals, depending on their nature, the trace is completely erased, turned green or remains unchanged.
TOUCH OF THE PLATINUM:
Observe the test for one minute. The acid should not attack the platinum trail. The trace of the alloy of white gold, silver-gold, and Osmium-gold alloy, will always be attacked.
