TEAR DROP HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHETIC AMETHYSTH
HYDROTHERMAL AMETHYSTH TEAR DROP HALF DRILLED
TEAR DROP HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHETIC AMETHYSTH. HALF DRILLED, FULL ROUND PLAIN CUT
Hydrothermal amethysts are synthesized at relatively low temperatures and at high pressures from a seed crystal and an enriched solution of SiO2.
The optical and physical characteristics of hydrothermal quartzes do not vary from those of natural quartz. Only slight parallel growth lines can be seen inside the crystals and, rarely, some bubbles.
Our hydrothermal stones are characterized by having a perfect cut finish and a very good final polishing, so they offer a high quality shine.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HYDROTERMAL QUARTZ:
Refractive Index (I.R.): 1,544-1,553
Hardness (Mohs): 7.0
Density: 2.65 gr / cm3
Fusion temperature: 1600-1700ºC
Acceptable working temperature: NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR CASTING
Our hydrothermal amethysts have the bright medium Brasil color, high color without dark violet background tones
